Register Page: Additional Registration Questions

 

 

Sometimes you might want to get more information from guests to your event than just their basic personal info (name, email etc.). This could be as simple as asking for their meal preference, or more complex, like offering a range of breakout sessions, asking for their arrival and departure times etc.

You can create all of these types of questions in the Register Page section.

Creating Questions

Inside your event, go to Register Page.

In the ‘Create Additional registration Questions’ panel, click Add Question:

 

This will open the Add Question modal. Enter your question and any additional information that might be useful. Then select the type of Answer you want to offer your guests:

 

 

There are different types of answer you can select:

Multiple Selectors:

These present each possible answer as a checkbox. Your guests can select more than one option when they answer.

Either / Or Options:

These present each possible answer as a button (radio selector). Your guests can only select one option when they answer.

Text Input Box:

This offers your guests an empty box that accepts whatever they type. This is useful for soliciting suggestions and written information from your guests.

Date Picker:

This presents a dropdown calendar your guests can use to select a date as an answer.

Time Picker:

This presents a dropdown clock your guests can use to select a time of day as an answer.

Date & Time Picker:

This presents a widget your guests can use to select a both a calendar date and a time of day as an answer.

 

When you have selected the type of answer that goes with your question, click Save. The question will appear in the panel. Notice that the checkbox next to the question is unchecked. The questions you create will not appear to your guests until you toggle them ON using this checkbox.

 

If you have chosen ‘Multiple Selectors’ or ‘Either / Or Options’ as the answer type for your question, you now need to create the possible answers your guests can select from. Click the ‘Add Answer Option’ button and add your first answer, then click Save:

 

 

Repeat this process until you have added all the possible answers:

 

 

Previewing Questions

You can click the Preview Questions button to see how your questions will appear to your guests.

Note: your Preview displays what your guests will see - therefore it will only display any questions you have toggled ON using the checkbox to the left of the question

 

 

Where Do The Questions Appear?

The Registration Questions you create are only offered to registered guests. Guests must register for your event before they see these additional questions.

Event Register Page

If you are allowing guests to register using the Register Page (free registration or ticket purchasers), a link to the Questions appears on the confirmation page immediately after they have registered:

 

 

If they do not answer the questions, a link on the confirmation page prompts them to do so:

 

 

Guest’s ‘Your Registration Page’

After a guest has registered via your event Register Page - or if a guest has accepted an email invite to your event, they will receive the event’s Confirmation Email. This email contains a ‘Your Registration’ link:

 

 

Clicking this button takes them to their personal confirmation page. This page also includes the prompt to answer the questions:

 

Once they have answered all the questions, the prompt changes, although they can always go back and edit their answers later if they wish:

 

 

Confirming Guests' Answers

All guests who register for your events and answer your Registration Questions receive a specific email confirming you have received their answers and listing the answers they gave, for their reference:
