All Packages created for an event are set either as ‘Register Page’ or ‘Invite’ Packages. This means that they can either be toggled ON or OFF to appear on your event’s register Page OR they can be toggled ON or OFF to be able to be added to your event’s Invite emails. Packages that can be added to your Register Page cannot be added to your Email Invites and vice versa. (This is mainly because register Page Packages can have a price associated with them, and Packages added to email Invites must necessarily be Free).
Once Packages have been cerated created they appear in the list of Packages in the left panels ('Free Packages' and ‘Paid / 3rd Party Packages’) on the Packages page.
...
This is very useful, for example if you want to create multiple Packages, test them out, show other people, or create them in advance before making them available on your Register page or available to add to invites. You can also use this feature to create different Packages that will be available on different dates (e.g. ‘Early Bird’ Packages) and toggle them ON or OFF accordingly.
Default Packages
By default, Seatrobot creates three Packages for you when you create an event:
...
When you first create your event, you are asked whether you want to allow Free Registrations and if so, the maximum amount. If you select 'Allow Free Registrations’ at this point, Seatrobot will toggle the default Register Package ‘ON’ automatically. BasicallyTherefore, if you select ‘Allow Free Registrations’ when you first create the event and you only want a Registration page or simple invites, you don’t even need to go to your register Page will be active for registrations without your needing to visit the Packages page.
However, if you select that you do NOT want your event to allow Free registrations when you create itduring setup, then Seatrobot will not toggle your default Register package ON. This is so that if somehow the Register page link for your event is distributed, people cannot register for free - because you have said you do NOT want that to happen.
